Creating el Querubín y el Pirata (The Cherub and the Pirate)
In November 2017 the studio began working with a new format of artw, with the goal of creating for the exhibition that took place in March (See more).
This was the perfect opportunity to develop an idea revolving around a photograph taken in the workshops of the Almendral neighborhood. Here, two colleagues work together: the Cherub and the Pirate. The Cherub´s job is to traverse the city looking for materials to recycle, which the Pirate then turns into machine parts, giving a second life to an uncountable number of unused objects. They form the perfect equation between trash and recycling, work and friendship, a complete system that permits an alternative way of life to be sustained.
This piece is titled :“Dado: 1º El Querubín / 2º El Pirata” (Dice: the Cherub 1st/the Pirate 2nd).
